
Over 30 schools from across the state and from different classifications descended on Timpanogos High School in Orem for the Tiger Trials meet. With this many schools and athletes participating, it was a long day for the Spartans with the girls having just one Lady Spartan finishing with any points.
Emery track and field’s season is winding down, with the BYU Invite coming up this week, regionals next week in Cedar City and then the season comes to a close at the State Championships at BYU once again.
For the girls, it was Bingham that earned the top spot, followed by American Fork. Lehi, host school Timpanogos landed in third and fourth. Lone Peak and Skyridge tied for fifth. Emery finished in 30th out of 32 teams.
Megan Stilson was the lone Lady Spartan that finished in the point tying for fifth in the high jump with Emma Gibb from American Fork.
On the boy’s side, it was American Fork at the top, followed by Skyridge. Lone Peak, Mountain View, and Timpview rounded out the top five. Emery didn’t place.
