
Justine Ann “Tina” Vasquez Bohn, born February 19, 1966 in California and raised in Carbon County, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the University of Utah Hospital surrounded by those who loved her. She was only 57.
Tina was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the person the family depended on and would come whenever she was called. You could count on Tina to have a smile on her face every time she saw you, she made everyone feel welcome. She had many friends and was a well-known member of the community of Carbon County. She enjoyed playing pool and was in a women’s league. At home, she could be found in the kitchen making her delicious authentic dishes. Her home was filled with knick-knacks and windchimes. She enjoyed spending time with her family and looked for every opportunity to be outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Clark Bohn; brother-in-law, Neil Bohn; godfather & uncle, Jerry Chavez; nephew, Joshua Loy; son-in-law, Richard Simmons; and many other loving souls.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Bohn; mother, Viola Loy; sister, Janet (Sam) Marrelli; brother, Raymond (Sherry) Loy; son, Nicholas Vasquez; daughters, Janessa Lopez- Prince, Kelsie Simmons, Baylie (Robert) Thomas; sons, Wade (Desteni) Bohn and Drew (Alyssa) Bohn; mother-in-law, Ora Bohn; brother-in-law, Ron (Chree) Bohn; sister-in-law, Lisa (Eric) Bonzo, 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to thank the University of Utah ICU medical team for their care of Tina during her final weeks.
A viewing will be held at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main St., Price, Utah) on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass, Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church (185 North Carbon Avenue, Price, Utah). Burial and committal service will follow in the Wellington City Cemetery.
A donation/memorial account has been set up under Tina’s name at Eastern Utah Community Credit Union.
In honor of Tina and her favorite color purple, the family would like to encourage those who can, to wear this color.
