The Carbon Dinos were on the road for the next match in 3A State Soccer Championships. After earning a 2-0 win over No.12 Canyon View, the No. 5 Dinos were on the road to face the No. 4 Morgan Trojans. Carbon struggled with their offense falling 5-1 to the Trojans and ending their 2023 season.

The Dinos finished the regular season at 8-3, with a 6-2 Region 12 mark, tying them for first with the Emery Spartans.

Earning the meeting with Morgan after the Canyon View win, the Dinos came out flat, not able to find the back of the net in the first half, and couldn’t shut down Morgan as they went into the locker room at the half down 3-0.

In the second half, Dylan Curtis scored the only goal for the Dinos, but the damage was done, and Morgan would take the 5-1 win.

The Dinos season ends with a 9-4 overall mark.
