The Carbon and Emery girls golf teams wrapped up the season over two days at the Glendale Golf Club in Salt Lake City. Carbon finished in seventh place overall at the tournament in team play, Emery missed the first day team cut, but did have a couple of golfers compete individually on day two.

The Morgan Trojans were the top team in 3A with a two day combined total of 642, Region 12 member Richfield claimed second just off the pace with 654. Juan Diego, Grantsville and Juab rounded out the top five. Carbon was seventh with 749, and Emery missed the cut with a day one total of 403.

Emery shot an opening round 403 on the team leader board, and sadly was the first team to miss the cut falling five strokes behind of Delta’s 398. For the Lady Spartans, Cheyenne Bingham finished tied for 24th place by following up her day one total of 92 with a 90 for combined 182. Kimber Gilbert was close behind tied for 32nd with her two day total of 189. Aspen Jensen missed the cut with a one day total of 107 and Claire Lindsey carded a 111.

Carbon’s Grace Simms shot a 97 day one and then came out and shot an 86 on day two, carding a total of 183 tying her for 26th. Carley West shot a 97 on the first day following that up with an 89 to turn in a 185 which tied her for 29th. Savanna Rasmussen went 99 and 95 for a two day total of 194 landing her in 38th, and Paige Scovill shot a 104 and a 106 bringing her two day total to 210 finishing in 53rd place overall.
