The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to host their monthly luncheon on Thursday, May 18 at noon at Ascension St. Matthew’s Church. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Executive Director, Barbie Haeck to get all the details.

Mostly recently the chamber held their annual Casino Night and it was a huge hit. This is a fundraising event that is held each Spring to help generate funds for the chamber. “Casino Night is always so much fun and everyone was so successful. It was a record breaker for the chamber and we really appreciate all the sponsor support, and all the prize donations, and then of course all the people who came out and had a good time,” said Haeck. Officials are now preparing for their annual golf tournament that will take place October 6 and 7.

Each month the chamber hosts a monthly luncheon to give businesses in the area a chance to mingle and network with other businesses. “Thursday, May 18 at noon at Ascension St. Matthew’s Church and the speaker is Steven Swinburne and the discussion will be How to Communicate Expectations with Your Team. I don’t know if you know Steve Swinburne but he’s a terrific speaker and he’s a great teacher so come join us,” said Haeck. The chamber does ask that folks interested in attending the luncheon are to RSVP by Friday, May 12.

At each luncheon there is a couple of business spotlights that are shared with guests. “So our Business Spotlight this month is J.D. from Tire Busters is going to come talk to us about all the good stuff they have going on there, and then our Community Spotlight is your annual Pie Auction,” said Haeck. The KARB Kickin Country Annual Pie Auction will be held on Wednesday, June 14.

There is a small fee associated with the luncheon, if you are a chamber member it’s $18.00 and non-members are $25.00. This month’s luncheon is being catered by Juniper Pizza Café. If you are interested in attending the May luncheon you are asked to RSVP by Friday, May 12. To RSVP you can call the chamber at (435) 637-2788 or email them at cccc@carboncountychamber.net
