Willem (Bill) Vande Sluis was born in Oosterbeek, Netherlands on September 27, 1943. His family emigrated to the Salt Lake Valley in 1955. He passed away peacefully in Price, Utah on May 10, 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Vande Sluis; children, Timothy (Whitney) Vande Sluis, Miriam Riding, Michael (Samantha) Vande Sluis; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Vande Sluis; stillborn daughter, Rachael Vande Sluis; parents, Piet Vande Sluis and Jansje (Witkamp) Vande Sluis; sister, Stephanina (Vande Sluis) Vigil; and son-in-law, Donald Riding.

Memorial service, Saturday, May 20, 2023, 10:00 a.m., Price Fifth Ward (449 North 100 East, Price, Utah 84501) where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Bill online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
