Emery Town Pioneer Days Celebration is going to be held on July 13 through July 15 and officials are looking for volunteers, vendors and sponsors to assist them with this year’s festivities.  Castle Country Radio was able to speak over the telephone with Event Representative, Kim Hansen to get all the details.

“We have this event every year, it’s our big summer event that draws our community together and allows us to just enjoy the small-town community atmosphere, I guess. We have a softball tournament, a cornhole tournament, horseshoe tournament, a barbeque dinner on Saturday night, we have kids’ games, a 5K run/walk,” said Hansen. There is sure to be some sort of activity for everyone to enjoy throughout the three-day celebration.

Right now, officials are in the planning stage so they are looking for volunteers, vendors and sponsors. “For anybody who donates or sponsors $250.00 or more, we will have a 4 ft. by 6 ft. banner created with their company logo or whatever they would like on it, and that will be hung on the outfield fence of the ball field for the entire three days,” explained Hansen. Volunteers are needed to set up and tear down, plus help with facilitating the kid games. Plus, this is a great way to advertise one’s business during the Emery Town celebration.

They are looking for all sorts of vendors for the event. “You know anybody is welcomed and wanted, the more of the variety we have, the better. We would love to have everybody with anything that they would like to share,” said Hansen. Officials expect lots of visitors at the event.
