The USU Extension is hearing up to host Weekly DIY Craft Nights this summer for adults to come enjoy, create and connect with other members of the community while participating in some crafts. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Assistant Professor in Family and Consumer Sciences, Christina Pay to get all the details.

“We just want to get people together and give them opportunities to be together and a lot of people have forgotten how to communicate and how to be together. This is a very laid back, relaxed opportunity, where you can just, you know, get to know other people in the community and have some fun and take a really cute craft home with you,” stated Pay. The classes will be held in the evenings at 6:30 pm till 8:00 pm at the USU Extension Classroom.

There is limited space in the USU Extension Classroom so the event is being capped at 20 participants. “Last year we had to limit the numbers, this year we’ve increased it a little bit, we’re still limited as far as we can only have 20 people. So if you’re interested in this you’ll want to reserve early, register early, so its for adults 18 and over,” said Pay. There is a cost of $25.00 associated with the course to help with supplies/materials for the crafts. This fee must be paid by June 13, which is one week before the first class begins.

If you are interested in participating in the Weekly DIY Craft Nights you need to get registered as soon as possible. “You can either go to https://www.eventbrite.com/ and just do a search for USU Extension Carbon County or the DIY Craft Night and it’s $25.00 to register and you can do that online or you can come into our office and pay,” said Pay.
