Born December 26, 1950 at the age of 72, peacefully grew her wings and went home to her Jesus Christ and arms of her father, Harvey Paul Collins Sr. and mother, Dorothy Alsop Collins on June 19, 2023.

Mary Ann was the oldest out of nine children with 6 brothers and 2 sisters. She was the protector of all of them. Nobody would mess with her brothers or sisters or they would see a different side of Mary, and it wouldn’t end up well for them.

On Dec. 8th, 1972 Mary left to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kentucky. The day after she came home from her mission she had a terrible accident that changed her for the rest of her life. From then on everyday was a struggle, which she handled with dignity.

Mary lived in several places and states. She lived with her mother until her passing. She also lived with her sister, Brenda and her daughters, Brittnie and Barbra whom she loved just like her own, they took such good care of her and whom she loved so much. She spent extended period of time with her sister Debbie and husband Steve Pollard and their family and was also taken well care of. She then spent the rest of her life in Price, Utah, which she called her home. From then on, her brother, Rick and Tracy Collins took great care of her. In February, 2023 she decided she should go into Pinnacle Nursing and Rehabilitation, because life was getting too hard for her to live on her own. She asked Rick to get her several 6 packs at a time of her bottles not cans of coke for her, at least two times a week. Come to find out, she was sharing it with her roommate and nurses. Her favorite things beside coke was her pickles and lemons. Almost every time, Rick visited her around noon time, he would take her a double cheese burger, ketchup and pickles only, fries and a coke. Her and Rick grew very close with each other.

Mary Ann was generous, kind, and loving to everyone that came her way. If they needed anything and Mary had it, she would give it to them without expecting anything in return. Mary Ann will be deeply missed by her loving family and a community of friends.

She is survived by her brother Mike Collins, Price, UT, Rick (Tracy) Collins, Helper, UT and sister Brenda (Johnny) Smith, McEwen, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Dorothy Collins; siblings, Harvey Collins Jr., John Collins, Debbie Collins Pollard, Ron Collins and Steven Collins

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the nurses and staff, especially her niece Mersades Collins at Pinnacle Nursing for their great care and compassion, with Mary Ann.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
