Even though it’s the middle of summer, the people at Emery County Recreation are already planning for the fall sports programs.

Soon the softball, little league, and t-ball season will give way to soccer and football.

One program that they will offer is tackle football for those students in the fifth and sixth grades. Registration is $75 and ends on July 26. Equipment pick-up will be on August 2 & 3 from 9-5 at the recreation office, 75 South 400 East in Castle Dale.

Sign-ups for flag football for grades first through fourth will close on July 30, the cost is $50, and late registration will go up to $60. Games will be played in Huntington with the third and fourth grades playing on Wednesdays and first and second grades playing Thursdays. Games will begin in September.

If soccer is more your child’s thing registration is going on right now and will end on August 7. The fee this season will be $30 and you may purchase a new shirt for $12. The games will start in September.

At the Aquatic Center, swim lessons are available for ages 2-3 all the way up to 9 and over.
