
Along with all the fun in the park, carnival rides entertainment and the Grand Parade, sporting events have become a big part of International Days as well. With golf, disc golf, pickleball, cornhole and a 5k, you’re sure to find something to keep you occupied when International Days kicks off.
Everything gets started on July 29 with the International Days Golf Tournament at the Carbon Country Club. The tournament at this time is full, you can reach out to Nick Tatton with Price City for more information.
The 5K is next up and is set for the evening of August 3, with check-in starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Price City Peace Gardens, the race will begin at 8. You can register by clicking HERE or by calling Carbon Rec at (435) 636-3702. Cost is $20 with a discount for families or groups, and those that register before July 11 will receive a t-shirt.
Also on Thursday, in the evening, a doubles disc golf tournament will take place, hosted by USU and USU Eastern. This is one of two that will be going on during the weekend as a singles tournament will take place on Saturday. The doubles tournament will begin at 5:30 on Thursday evening and the singles will start at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. To register for doubles click HERE and for singles click HERE.
Cornhole will take place on the Washington Park basketball courts on Friday evening beginning at 6 p.m.. Registration is now open and cost is $50 per team. For more information you can contact Carbon Rec at (435) 636-3702.
And pickleball makes it’s return on Saturday at 7 p.m., on the Price City Pickleball courts. There will be three different levels of play with beginners, Intermediate and advanced groupings. Cost is $15 and the registration deadline is August 1. For further information you can text Jill Atwood at (435) 650-5563, she will also accept phone calls at that number evenings after 5 p.m..
