WELLINGTON – Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, Dianne Gaillard Jensen, age 79, passed away on July 9, 2023. Dianne was born on March 4, 1944 to Thomas Arthur and Elma Davis Gaillard. She was raised in South Price. She graduated from Carbon High School in 1962. She also attended the College of Eastern Utah, now Utah State University East.
Dianne married her high school sweetheart John (Deaf John) Jensen on May 29, 1968. This year would have been their 55th wedding anniversary.
Dianne worked at several locations throughout her life, including Dan’s Pharmacy and Koret of California. She enjoyed many wonderful and lasting friendships with her coworkers.
Dianne loved the ‘80s hair bands. She attended many concerts and out-sang and out-danced her children at every one of them. She has a better music and rock t-shirt collection than anyone else in her family. She loved her Corvette. Halloween was her favorite holiday. Her decorations are legendary. Her eggnog and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies were the best. Above all, she loved her family.
Dianne is survived by her sons, Kevin (Terri) of Magna, PJ (Shawna) of Helper; granddaughter, Tawna Jensen Yazzie of Pahrump, Nevada; great-grandsons, Hunter and Braxton Yazzie of Pahrump, Nevada; grandson, Solas Yazzie of Cedar City; brothers, Don (Jill) of Salt Lake City, Steven (JoDee) of Orem, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
Dianne is now reunited with those that have gone before her: her parents, Art and Elma; her husband, John; her son, Michael; her twin sons Brent and Kent; and many other friends and family members whom she missed terribly.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 13, at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main, Price, Utah. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. Graveside service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. Rock t-shirts are welcomed at both the services. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily, and may share memories of Dianne online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
Fly high, Mom! We love you to the moon and back!
