
With school starting in the Carbon district on August 16, the fall sports season is getting ready to ramp up at Carbon High School. The fall sports season includes football, volleyball, girls tennis, boys golf, cross country and girls soccer.
Girls soccer gets things going on the road on August 3 in Roosevelt to face Union. The first home game of the season will take place on August 10 when North Sanpete comes to town. The initial RPI rankings will be released on Thursday August 31, and the state playoffs begin on October 7 with a State Champion crowned on October 21.
The Carbon Lady Dino tennis team begins the first of four straight home matches on August 8, when they will welcome Canyon View to Price. The next day North Sanpete will be in town, and then on the 11 & 12 the Carbon Invitational will take place. The region tournament will take place on Sept. 26-27 at Mount Pleasant and the state tournament will be October 6-7 in Salt Lake City at Liberty Park.
The boys golf squad tees it up at the Carbon Country Club to open the season on August 9. They will make the trip to Millsite on September 14 and the season will wrap up with the state tournament at Meadow Brook Golf Course in Taylorsville.
Football kicks off the season at home on August 11 as the Dinos face the Hillcrest Huskies. We will get our first look at the RPI on September 4 and Emery comes to town on September 8. The opening round of the playoffs starts on October 20 and the State Champion will take place November 11.
The Lady Dino volleyball team gets things going on August 12, when Carbon travels to Mount Pleasant for the North Sanpete tournament. They hit the floor in Price for the first time on August 15 when Union comes town. September 11 the first RPI rankings come out and then three days later they will welcome the Lady Spartans to town, then Carbon will travel to Castle Dale on October 12. The first round of the playoffs take place on October 21 and the state tournament will be October 25-26 at Utah Valley University.
Cross Country gets started on August 12 for the Premier Invitational at the Cottonwood Complex. The Dinos will welcome teams from around the area to the Carbon Country Club on September 20 and then again for the Region 12 Championships on October 4. The cross country State Championships will take place at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake on October 24.
