It’s time once again for another Helper Saturday Vibes event set to take place on Saturday, July 22 at 5:00 pm on Helper’s Historic Main Street. Castle Country Radio spoke with Vendor Manager, Rachel Barbee to get all the details.

This Saturday has a theme called “PIE-oneer Day” which will feature a pie-eating contest. “So we will be there at the stage at 7:00 pm, so if you are interested in competing, definitely come and find me I’ll be hanging out in front of the stage. It will probably be limited entry so come and hunt me down pretty quick. You can also ask for me at the information booth, if you arrive a little bit early. Participants will be competing against one another to see who can eat the pie the fastest, the winner will win a prize.

There will be two bands to enjoy on this evening beginning at 5:00 pm. The first one is a Utah based group called The Hardy Brothers. They serve up a unique blend of upbeat alternative rock, reggae, and jam vibes. “From 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Grizzly Goat will be on the stage, and they are pretty awesome as well, folk/rock, Americana got to love that banjo,” said Barbee. Grizzly Goat’s aim is to connect with their audience on an individual level, building a relationship with each listener.

The food trucks will be available throughout the evening or until they run out of food. “If you come down to past events, and you really haven’t found something your digging, you will this time. We got I’d Fry That, all the fried things you could look for, they’re out of Vernal. Bam Bam’s Food Truck, additionally wonderful, marvelous snacks. The Twisted Lemon, Dee’s Kitchen, Mambo’s Truck, and again, Country Confections, to have a nice cool treat,” said Barbee.

There will be free activities for the children at the city hall parking lot. “For the kiddos, definitely come and check out our kid’s activities, again, just located in the city hall parking lot. We’re also going to have pony rides again, so please come down and check out those pony rides,” said Barbee.
