It may be 90 degrees outside but the fall sports season is getting ready to ramp up for the Emery Spartans. With girls soccer getting us started on August 1, volleyball. girls tennis, boys golf, football and cross country won’t be far behind.

The Lady Spartan soccer squad opens up the season on the road in Beaver, and then two days later they welcome Millard to the pitch in Castle Dale.  We will get our first peek at the RPI on August 31. September 7,  they will head to Price to take on Carbon and then the Dinos come to Castle Dale to close out the season on October 3. State Playoffs begin on October 7, and a new Sate Champion will be crowned on October 21, at America First Stadium.

Lady Spartan tennis begins the season on Aug 8, when the Delta Rabbits come to town. Carbon comes to Castle Dale on September 7, and the regular season will wrap up on September 21 when Emery faces North Sanpete at home. The region tournament takes place on September 26, with the State Play-in Tournament, held at Liberty Park takes place on September 30. The following weekend, October 6-7 Liberty Park will also host the State Championships.

Emery boys golf tees it up at the Carbon Country Club on August 9 to get the season started. Emery will host the region at Millsite on September 14. The Region 12 Tournament will be held on September 27 at Meadow Brook Golf Course in Taylorsville and Meadow Brook will host the State Championships starting October 11.

The Lady Spartan volleyball team opens up their season at home against South Sevier on August 10. On September 11, the initial RPI rankings will be revealed and then three days later, they will travel to Price to face the Dinos. Carbon will be in Castle Dale on October 12 to face the Spartans on Senior Night. The opening round of the State Tournament starts on October 21 with the Championship rounds taking place at Utah Valley University October 25-26.

Spartan football kicks of the season on August 11 as they welcome North Sanpete to Castle Dale. The RPI rankings will come out on September 4 and then four days later the Spartans will face Carbon in Price. The regular season wraps up on October 13 in Castle Dale, when Delta comes to town . The first round of the playoffs begin on Oct. 20 with a new State Champion getting crowned on November 11.

Cross country gets underway on August 12 when the team travels to Holiday for the Premier Invitational at the Cottonwood Complex. Everyone will travel to Emery as they host their region meet on August 30. The Region championships will be at the Carbon Country Club on October 4, and the State Championships will be at the Regional Athletic Complex in Salt Lake City on October 24.
