On July 2, 2023, Beverley Lucinda Morris, of Sunnyside UT left this earth to join her Heavenly Father after living an amazing life of 74 years.
Bev was born in B.C. Canada on January 7, 1949. She grew up on Promontory Hill in Chilliwack B.C. amongst six of her seven siblings. She was such a strong and independent woman and the only redhead amongst the siblings. She was stubborn but the most giving, wonderful person. Serving God was a huge part of her life and Bev was one of the most faithful women you would have ever met. Beverley moved to Bellingham, Washington where she met and married her true love and soul mate, Fred Morris. Together they had three beautiful daughters.
The family lived in Seattle Washington for many years. There, Bev took an active role in all her children’s activities and education. Beverley spent many a day teaching her girls how to cook, swim, sew, even work on Fred’s boat engines. She continued to serve the Lord in a local church as a worship and women’s Bible study leader for many years. When Fred took ill the family moved back to Bellingham, Washington.
After Fred passed Bev moved her family to Custer, Washington where she shared her love with many children. If a child was in need, they knew they had a safe and loving home at Bev’s. Bev increased the joy in her home by adopting two more wonderful children. Beverley raised both of her kids to adulthood, passing on independence, strength of character and a strong work ethic. Beverley was a mom to so many and her door was always open. Beverley believed in living life to the fullest.
At the age of 50 Bev changed careers from being an accountant to her lifelong dream of driving large vehicles. She drove for many years as a Bellingham school bus driver, and after retiring, moved to Twin Falls, Idaho and then on to Sunnyside, Utah where she opened her heart, home, and family to even more.
Bev was a mom to so many. Her faith in God was so strong it emanated from her and elevated all those around her. She never met a stranger because she included everyone. She laughed at her own jokes before she even finished telling them, sometimes not even getting to the punch line. Her love of people and music was infectious. Bev will be sorely missed every day.
Survived by her children, Patricia, Lovey (Perfecto), Joy (Sean), Ericka, and Derrick; sisters, Mildred and Patrice; brothers, Clinton (Sandy), Mervin (Pat), Vernon (Gerry) and Thomas; grandchildren, Helena, Rebekah and Azriel; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces; the Ford family in Canada and many friends all precious to Bev.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; sisters, Pearl, and Darlene; brother, Clifford and his wife Judy.
We love you, Mum. Fly high.
