Fan X Salt Lake returns September 21-23 this year and will celebrate a decade of bringing fandoms from across all mediums together for three days of panels, cosplay, autographs, and photo ops for all.

Since 2013 fans of all things entertainment have descended on The Salt Place Convention Center as a haven to meet up with other fans show the cosplay you’ve been working on since the last event and meet some of their favorite characters. Some of the big names at the first event were Manu Bennett from Lord of the Rings, Dean Cain, Lou Ferrigno, William Shatner, and the man himself Stan Lee.

In 2016, they outgrew the space at the Salt Palace and took over the Delta Center for panels for Shatner and Mark Hamill, as they continued to draw big names for which the crowds came out.

In 2023 one of the biggest names from a fandom point of view will be Jared Padalecki from the series Supernatural. Organizers say that he has been one of the most requested in the past and they were finally able to get him on the schedule.

Other guests this year include Andy Serkis who played Gollum in the Lord of The Rings series as well as Alfred in The Batman. Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy, and fan favorite Katee Sackoff will be returning this year.

There will also be a lot of fandoms served at the tenth edition of FanX with Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, and Tom Wilson of Back to the Future all scheduled to attend. For fans of the Daredevil series Chalie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and fans of the 90’s show Saved by the Bell, Mario Lopez, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, and Elizabeth Berkley.

As a fan who has been to past events, it’s a great place to come together and be with other like-minded people. Sure there may be arguments about “Who shot first”, but at the end of the day, you will definitely have more friends than you did when you went in.

The 10th Anniversary edition of  FanX begins Thursday, September 21, and will come to a close on Saturday. Tickets are available on the Fan X website.
