The Lady Dinos soccer squad was back on the pitch on Thursday afternoon to face Region 12 opponent North Sanpete. The Dinos had all cylinders firing taking a 5-0 win.

This would mark back-to-back shutouts in goal for Fortune Ward coming off the 8-0 win over Millard, as Carbon has started out the season 2-1.

The Dinos found the back of the net three times in the first half and claimed the 3-0 lead at halftime. The ladies came out in half two putting two more in goal all the while holding North Sanpete off the board on the defensive side.

Bailey Johnson earned the “hat trick” with three goals in the contest, and Blythe Bradford and Amiah Timothy had one goal each with Timothy collecting three assists, Mia Crompton and Maggie Truman each had an assist in the win. Ward earned her second straight shutout between the pipes with three saves.

The Dinos are back at it on Tuesday when they will face another Region 12 foe, Canyon View.  The Falcons sit at 3-1 overall this season and look to be one of the top 3A teams this year.

Game time is set for 4 p.m., on the field at Carbon High.
