The annual Helper Arts, Music, & Film Festival will kick off on August 17 on Helper’s Historic Main Street with the annual Gallery Stroll. Event Representative, Hannah Patrick took time to speak with Castle Country Radio to share all the details with listeners.

On Thursday evening guests will have the opportunity to browse through all the galleries on Main Street. “The gallery stroll will start at 6:00 pm on Thursday night, it goes from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We encourage the community to come out for that,” said Patrick. There will be a chance for guests to receive a $500.00 gift certificate from participating galleries to redeem for a piece of art. Further details can be found at the Festival Information Booth or at the participating galleries.

Friday things kick off at noon with all the vendors and artists set up on Main Street. “They’re going to be ready to go at noon. People will notice that the art vendors are going to be set up in the middle of Main Street this year. So hopefully that provides easier access to all of our Main Street businesses and shops. We will be open from noon till dusk,” said Patrick. The festival is expecting around 56 art vendors and 10 food vendors so there is sure to be something pleasing for everyone. Guests are urged to stop by the Festival Information Booth to vote for their favorite art and food vendor. Live musical entertainment will begin at 4:00 pm, with the last band taking the stage at 8:00 pm.

Then on Saturday things kick off bright and early with annual Clampers Breakfast at 8:00 am at the Pavilion. “Vendors will start, open at 9:00 am and the car show, l think you have to register by 9:00 am on Saturday morning,” said Patrick. Musical performances on the Main Street Stage will begin at noon running through till 10:00 pm. The Kids Art Yard runs from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Sunday is all about Helper Artists Music Showcase from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on the Main Street Stage. “Entertainment will start at noon on Sunday, and we’ve been granted a time extension so the festival will go until 5:00 pm this year. The entertainment will be all local artists on Sunday,” said Patrick. The awards ceremony for Best Art and Food Vendor will begin at 1:00 pm.
