The tennis season got underway last week and Tuesday Carbon welcomed in the Emery Spartans. The Dinos claimed a 4-1 victory at the tennis courts in Price moving the Dinos to 1-2 on the season.
In first singles Carbon’s Ella Anderson earned the straight set win over Brooklynn Ekker 6-4, 6-0. In second singles Emery’s Cheyenne Bingham pushed Carbon’s Audrey Hatch to three sets taking the victory 2-6, 6-2, 6-2. Third singles went to the Dinos Izabelle Pugliese as she defeated Chloe Wagner in three sets 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles, Carbon’s first team of Lyndie Richardson and Allena Ison won their match over Tailynn Minchey and Acelyn Migliori 6-1, 6-4, and the second team of Emmalee Miller and Veronica Cartwright earned the straight set victory over Julia Peterson and Kallee Oliver.
Emery head to Moab to face Grand on Wednesday and Carbon is on the road in Manti Thursday.
