
The Lady Dino volleyball squad has only played two matches this season but they have been victorious in both. On Tuesday they were in Nephi to face the Juab Wasps closing them out in straight sets.
The Dinos opened the season with Union at home winning that contest 3-1, and they will get back into the swing of things when they travel to St. George this weekend for the Dixie Flyers tournament.
Carbon had a dominant performance taking the first set 25-15, then in the second set had a 25-17 win. The final set belonged to the Lady Dinos as well 25-18 taking the sweep.
Senior Madi Orth helped the Dinos with 14 kills and 14 digs in the victory, and senior Taylor Secor added 10 kills and nine digs. Junior Jacie Jensen earned 11 digs and had five service aces in the win.
The Lady Dinos go on the road for their yearly visit to the Dixie Flyers Tournament that takes place this weekend.
Carbon will be back home Tuesday to face Richfield in a Region 12 tilt. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m..
