Carbon cross country got back on the trail on Saturday in Spanish Fork at the UIAAA Invitational. Twenty-nine teams from across the state and all classifications took part in the day long event with the Carbon girls taking 15th and the boys 19th.

American Fork and Lone Peak tied for first place in the girls division followed by West Lake, Mountain View and Herriman.

Rozlyn Stowe lead the charge for the Lady Dinos finishing in 13th place, Sophie Taylor finished in 51st and Ellie Hanson, Ada Bradford and Alexa Jones rounded out the top five Carbon finishers. Cadence Kasprick of Grand, took first with a time of 17:53.6.

Herriman was the top team on the boys side with Lone Peak, Skyridge, Maple Mountain and Mountain View making up the rest of the top five.

For Carbon, Easton Humes was the top finisher at 58. Logan McEvoy, Evan Criddle, Dallin Criddle and Nicholas Cartwright made up the rest of the top finishers for the Dinos. Kyle Steadman of Mountain View finished in first place with a time of 14:52.8.

Next up for Carbon is the Timpanogos Invitational on Friday.
