Our loving husband, father, and friend, Robert “Bob” Edward Gibbons, age 82, passed away peacefully in his home August 28, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born September 11, 1940, in San Francisco, California to Edward Francis and Verrenna Alveretta Howey Gibbons. Married Connie Adella Trower on November 16, 1962, in Aurora, Colorado. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Bob was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved serving in the temple with his dear wife Connie. This November would have been their 61st wedding anniversary. They raised three wonderful boys, John, Michael, and Thomas. Bob served faithfully and dutifully in the US Navy and was discharged honorably after three years.
He was an avid ham radio enthusiast with the call sign N71GI. He enjoyed collecting stamps and coins as well. Bob loved many things but fudge ice cream bars, his friends and especially his family were on the top of his list. He will be missed greatly by his family and a community of friends.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Connie; sons, John Lyle (Debra), Michael James (Kristie), Thomas Joseph (Becky); 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Verrenna; and infant twin sons, Aaron Robert and Ashley Edward.
