The Lady Spartans are on quite a roll winning their first 11 games this season. They added one more to that total on Tuesday when they took on the Manti Templars. In what was a battle at times, Emery tightened up when necessary coming away with the five set win 3-2, moving their overall record to 12-0.

The last time we were having this conversation about Spartan volleyball was back in the 2021-2022 season, when Emery started off the season 17-0, they ended the season 27-2 overall and 7-1 in region play earning a third place finish in the state championships.

This match was a battle from start to finish as neither team was willing to budge. In the first set, Emery came out and found themselves going back and forth but eventually taking the 25-23 win. Set number two was a reversal with the same score as Manti claimed the 25-23 win, Manti also claimed victory in set three 25-18.

In the final two sets, Emery was on a mission, but Manti wouldn’t go away, the Spartans still got the hard fought 25-23 win and then set five was just as close as the other 15-13 Spartans.

Emery will be home Thursday to take on the 7-4 Juab Wasps. Game time is set for 6:30
