Carbon football took their longest road trip of the season on Friday when they traveled to Bear River. The Dinos had a tough time on both sides of the ball getting anything started, falling to the Bears 57-0.

Bear River plays in the 4A class in Region 11 with other schools like Green Canyon, Sky View, and Ridgeline. They currently have a 2-2 record.

The Bears got started early as Tydon Jones broke off a 57-yard run to the end zone at the 11:05 mark in the first quarter. Jones would end the evening with 162 yards a four total touchdowns. That was just the beginning of the rushing attack.

The Dinos couldn’t move the ball on Bear River, struggling throughout the contest, and by the end of the first half, Bear River had taken a 43-0 lead.

Bear River would score twice more in the second half as Jones would run in another this time from 26 yards out in the third and Jaxson Theurer capped off the game with a 49-yard scamper.

Carbon has to turn around and be ready for this Friday as it is “Rivalry Week” with the Emery Spartans coming to Price.

Last year the Dinos traveled to Castle Dale and returned home with a 42-20 loss.

The contest between the Dinos and the Spartans this Friday will be available on KRPX 95.3 The Peak and the action can be streamed at our website castlecountryradio.com.

The Landon’s Diesel Pre-game show will begin at 6:30 with kick-off to follow at 7:00 p.m..
