Emery Spartan Tennis was back on the road on Tuesday in Nephi to take on the Juab Wasps. The Wasps were too much for Emery taking the matches 5-1.

Juab sits on top of Region 12 with a perfect 7-0 record and definitely means business this season.

The only match win for the Lady Spartans came in the first singles match between Emery’s Brooklyn Ekker and Juab’s Leah Thorn. Ekker would win in straight sets 6-3 and 6-1.

The second singles match between Cheyenne Bingham and Hannah Rock started out with a huge amount of drama as the first set would go down to the wire 7-6 (7-3). After that battle, Bingham dropped set two 6-2.

Emery will be back on the courts on Thursday when they welcome the Carbon Dinos to Castle Dale. Matches are set to begin at 3:30 p.m..
