The Carbon Dino cross country team along with 19 other schools from across the state made their way to Nephi for the Juab Invitational. Rozlyn Stowe claimed the top spot for the girls while Carbon’s Easton Humes in 15th was the top Dino finisher for the boys.

Timpview claimed the top finish for the girls followed by Freemont, Mountain View, North Ridge and Box Elder, Carbon finished in ninth.

Stowe claimed first with her time of 17:26.9, more than a half-minute ahead of Mountain Ridge’s Cailey Bracken. Sophie Taylor, Ellie Hanson, Alexa Jones, and Aly Bryner rounded out the top five for Carbon.

Timpview also claimed the top spot for the boy’s division. Freemont, Lehi, Canyon View, and Northridge made up the top five. Carbon ended the day in eleventh.

Carbon’s Easton Humes finished in fifteenth for the day. Logan McEvoy, Evan Criddle, Dallin Humes, and Nicholas Cartwright completed the top five Dino finishers.

The Dinos will be on the road at North Sanpete on Wednesday.
