
Elva Molinar, born on July 9, 1956 in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico, peacefully passed away on September 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved daughter of Sahara Trejo and Guadalupe Molinar. She was the loving mother to Francisco, Omar, Jessica, and twins Cindy and Nancy.
Elva came to the United States in 1981 where she learned the English language. She later moved to Carbon County, Utah where she proudly became an American citizen in 1988.
Elva was a remarkable soul, known for her sweetness, kindness, and boundless compassion. She had a heart of gold and would give her last dollar to anyone in need. Her home was a haven of warmth and hospitality, where friends and family were always welcome.
Elva’s sense of humor was infectious, and her grandchildren adored the way she pronounced their names with her Spanish accent. Despite facing numerous trials in life, she displayed remarkable strength and resilience, inspiring all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Francisco (Selene) Molinar, Omar (Laurie) Molinar, Jessica (Mark) Reese, and Cindy (Danial Foster) Molinar; special niece and nephew, Ruby (Gilbert) Sanchez and Sijifredo Molinar, whom she helped raise. Elva’s love extends to her 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Elva is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Nancy Molinar; and her siblings, Romelia Molinar, Oscar Molinar, Guadalupe Molinar; and nephew, Geraldo Molinar.
Funeral service, Friday, September 15, 2023, 3:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home in Price, Utah. The family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 4-5:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery.
