Jackie Gai Chynoweth Fullmer, age 83, passed away September 10, 2023 surrounded by family in Ferron, Utah. Jackie was born May 9, 1940 in Henrieville, Utah to Lawrence Arthur Chynoweth and Lavina Janett Goulding Chynoweth. She married Jay H. Fullmer on October 23, 1959 in Anabella, Utah.

Jackie was born and raised in Henrieville, Utah where she attended school through the 6th grade, then to Tropic High in 7th grade; graduation from Bryce Valley High in 1958. After she and Jay were married, they lived in many places throughout the great state of Utah.

Jackie had many callings in the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was Second Counselor in Mutual, Homemaking Leader, taught Primary, the Librarian, and was the Sunday School Secretary. She was the Relief Society President for many years which she loved very much. She was a Visiting Teacher and got the opportunity to impact many lives. She had a passion for genealogy and worked in the Family Search Center for many years.

Jackie bowled for over 30 years, went to many State and National tournaments and won many local awards. She loved bowling and the many lifelong friends she made. She had many talents including, quilting, painting, cross stitch, and canning. She enjoyed crocheting hundreds of scrubbies and gave them to everyone she could.  She also loved her Utah Jazz games.

Jackie loved with all her heart. She always had a smile or joke to brighten your day. She loved her family fiercely and would do anything for them. She really loved spending time with her grandchildren; laughing and teasing. She was a very special person to so many people and will be greatly missed.

Jackie is survived by her children, Clay Fullmer of Ferron, Utah, Kenneth Fullmer of Ferron, Utah, and Jaylene (Cory) Shurtleff of Grand Junction, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and brother, Lane (Marlene) Chynoweth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Arthur Chynoweth and Lavina Janett Goulding Chynoweth; in-laws, Howard and Elizabeth Fullmer; son, Jay H. Fullmer, Jr.; siblings, Larry (Billie) Chynoweth, Alice (Reed) Ormond, LaRee “Cindy” (Delon) Pollock, Eva Chynoweth, and Arthur V. (Lorraine) Chynoweth.

Funeral services for Jackie will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Millsite Ward Chapel (35 West 200 North) in Ferron. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and on Friday morning from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church in Ferron. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery.
