016-3

Lady Dino volleyball was back on the road Tuesday night to face the Manti Templars. The Dinos had earned the No.1 spot in the first RPI rankings which came out on Monday, but that was short-lived as the Templars handed the Dinos a straight-set loss, dropping Carbon to No. 3.

Carbon has put together an impressive 9-2 overall record and the loss to Manti was their first region loss of the season moving to 4-1.

Manti had the Lady Dinos number as the match got going the Templars came out taking the first set 25-20. In the second set, it was more Manti as they took set two by the same 25-20 score.

The Templars took over once again in the third and what would prove to be the final set by the score of 25-17.

It’s hard to believe that there are just nine matches left in the regular season. In the final stretch, they will face off with Emery twice, and they will face both Manti and Canyon View (currently ranked No. 1) once more.

Carbon gets it started on Thursday when they welcome the Emery Lady Spartans. The Spartans are currently ranked No. 2 just ahead of Carbon. This is the first meeting of the season between the two teams.

Gametime is set for 6:30 p.m..
