Lady Dino tennis has been pretty busy this week. Thankfully both matches, Tuesday with Manti and Thursday with Richfield were both at home. On the other hand, they also ended the week 1-1.

Carbon has just two meets left one against Juab and the regular season finale on the road in Delta.

In the Tuesday meeting with Manti, the Dinos owned every match against the Templars. The most exciting match came in the second singles match between Audrey Hatch and Manti’s Celeste Marsing, the first set went into the tennis equivalent of overtime 7-6 (7-4) and then 6-3 in the second set for the Dino win.

In the second doubles match between Emmalee Miller and Allena Ison and the Templars Shaylee Roberts and Jordan Brouillette went the distance with Carbon taking the 6-3, 2-6, and 6-2 win.

On Thursday, the Dinos welcomed in the Wildcats from Richfield, one of the top teams in 3A.

The Wildcats wasted no time proving that their 11-4 overall record is no fluke by taking all six matches from Carbon.

Lyndie Richardson and Veronica Cartwright pushed Ellie Graff and Halamehi Vakautakakaia in the opening set of their first doubles match 7-6 (7-2) and 6-2 with Richfield taking the win.

Emmalee Miller and Allena Ison took their competition to the brink going three sets but still falling short 6-2, 4-6, and 6-1.

The Dinos will celebrate their seniors on September 19, when Juab travels to Price for the final home matches of the season. They will wrap up the regular season on September 21 when they travel to Delta.
