The match they didn’t want to happen took place on Tuesday night for the Lady Spartan volleyball team. Traveling to Cedar City to face Canyon View. Going four sets this match was a battle from start to finish, but in the end, it was Canyon View taking the 3-1 win.

Emery has started the season on fire winning their first 14 matches while compiling a 4-0 region record, in the initial RPI that was released on Monday they were ranked No.2 in the 3A ranks.

In the first set Canyon View came out and claimed the 25-20 win, set two was more of the Falcons as they took the 25-20 win.

Set three was about the Lady Spartans as they pulled out the 25-22 win, but that would be a short-lived victory as Canyon View came back in the fourth, closing out Emery 25-22.

Emery remains the No.2 team in the RPI and on Thursday night they travel to Price to face the Carbon Lady Dinos. The winner of tonight’s match could take over the No. 1 spot come Friday morning.
