The Carbon Cross Country Invitational is a great chance to get teams from around the state together before the start of regional and state championships. The Lady Spartan runners claimed places 2-4 and for the boys, Camdon Larsen finished in third helping the Emery boys tie with Uintah for first place.

Emery and Uintah shared first place followed by Payson. Carbon and Richfield made up the remainder of the top five.

Camdon Larsen was the top Emery finisher landing in third. Dillan Larsen finished in sixth. Jack Christiansen, Mason Hurdsman, and Mason Stewart rounded out the top finishers for Emery.

Carbon claimed the top team spot on the girl’s side with Emery finishing in second. Payson, Richfield, and Manti finished the top five.

Addyson Guymon finished the day in second followed by fellow Spartans Gentry Christiansen and Addie Hurst. Carlie Hurst and Hadley Meccariello made up the remainder of the Spartan top five.

Up next is the Grand County Cross Country meet on Wednesday.

The Region 12 Championships follow on October 4.
