
The Lady Dinos got back to business on the pitch Tuesday as they welcomed the Richfield Wildcats to Price. Tuesday was the final home game of the season, as the Dinos celebrated this season’s senior and then enjoyed a 5-0 win.
The Dinos will say goodbye to nine seniors after the season, but there is still plenty of work to do.
The Dinos and the Wildcats got off to a slow start with neither team putting up a score in the first half. In the second half, the Dinos came out charging, with all five goals coming in the period, and Carbon shut the door on Richfield 5-0.
Allie Smith for the Dinos found the back of the net two separate times in the contest, with Amiah Timothy, Ada Bradford, and Chrissy Jones scoring a goal each as well. Bailey Johnson earned three assists with Mia Cropmton, and Emma Bowman each chipping in with one.
Fortune Ward grabbed her seventh shutout of the season with eight saves giving her a total of 123 and landing her in third place in the state.
The RPI has been removed and won’t be revealed until October 4, when the rankings and the bracket for the 3A State Soccer Championships will be made available as well.
Two games remain in the regular season for the Lady Dinos: Thursday at Manti and then Tuesday at Emery.
