
The Lady Spartans traveled to Nephi Thursday, the home of the Juab Wasps, for one of the last region matches this season. And they did not waste any time while they were there, taking the straight set win moving them to 17-3.
Emery’s next three region match-ups are all home contests, they will make the trip to Richfield on October 17, for the final match of the regular season.
Juab was a tough out in the first set as Emery claimed the win 25-20. In the second set, the Spartans made quick work of the Wasps with the 25-14 victory.
The final set, was more of the same from set two, as Emery would go on to earn a 25-16 win, and a 3-0 match victory.
Emery stands pat in the No.2 spot in the RPI with a 17-3 overall record and a 7-3 Region 12 mark. The RPI will change before the end on the regular season after each contest. Then on October 18 the final RPI will be released, along with the complete bracket for the 3A State Volleyball Championships which begin three days later on October 21.
Emery has just one match on Tuesday next week at home with North Sanpete. Then on Saturday, October 7 they travel to Richfield for the Sevier Invitational.
