The Spartans were on the road in Richfield to face the Wildcats. Emery’s season has not been what they were hoping for but they continue to play hard and not give up on the season. Richfield shut down the Spartan offense taking the 4-0 win.

The Wildcats came out in the first half finding the back of the net one time taking the 1-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, Richfield added a pair of goals closing out the half and handing the Spartans the 4-0 loss.

The Spartans sit at 0-15 overall this season and 0-13 in Region 12 play. The RPI has been removed and will be made visible again on October 4 , when the bracket for the 3A State Championships will be revealed as well. The playoffs will begin on October 7 at homes sites. Second round games (October 11) and the Quarterfinals (October 14) will also be played at home sites.  The Semi-finals will take place at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman on October 19, and the Finals will be played on October 21 at America First Field, home of Real Salt Lake.

The Spartans will celebrate “Senior Day” on Tuesday when they welcome the Carbon Dinos to Castle Dale.
