The Ascension St Matthew’s Church annual Fall Fare will only be celebrated one day this year and it’s scheduled to take place on Friday, October 13 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This community event will take place at the church which is located at 522 North Homestead Boulevard in Price.

“We want people to know that Fall Fare 23 is happening Friday, October 13 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Those homemade soups are out of this world, I can’t tell you what there is but I just know that it’s all going to be yummy,” said Event Representative, Pam Adams. In years past the Fall Fare was a two-day celebration but organizers decided to scale it back this year to just Friday evening.

There will still be the wonderful homemade soups, baked goods and canned garden goods available to purchase this year. All of the delicious food will have been prepared by members of the church. During the Fall Fare guests will have an opportunity to visit the church’s unique gift shop. “The Gift Shop will be open, which it runs year-round, and it is local people, including myself, who work on handmade things, the old-fashioned crafts. We also have religious jewelry and other jewelry; baby and youth quilts. We have lots and lots of different kinds of items in the shop, it isn’t just religious things. The one thing we do ask is that you purchase the Gift Shop items in the Gift Shop” explained Adams.

This Fall Fare is a fundraising event for the church who uses the funds to assist the church and is charitable projects. They will again be selling their Donation Tickets (opportunity drawing) with some really great prizes up for grabs this year like Jazz tickets, cash, gift certificates, flat screen television and so much more. “The drawing will be held for the winners on Wednesday, October 18 and we’re going to have, soon to be Pastor Angela who will do the drawing for us. You don’t need to be present to win, the tickets, again, are $1.00,” said Adams. If you would like to purchase Donation Tickets for $1.00 you can do so from any member of the church, the day of the event or call the church at (435) 637-0106.
