Patty Sherman Byrge Lemon, passed away on October 5, 2023 at the age of 75. She was born on September 2, 1948 in Price, Utah to Max Eugene Sherman and Lola Hamilton Sherman. She lived in Carbon County most of her life. Patty attended Carbon High School and graduated with the class of 1966.
Patty married Frank Byrge and had two children, Tracy Eugene Byrge and DeeAnna Lynn Byrge (Fisher). They later divorced. Patty then married Jerry Lemon and they later divorced as well.
Patty worked in retail all of her adult life until she retired. She worked for Walmart just five months short of 15 years. She loved reading books and as her son said many times over and over, “Patty always had her nose stuck in a book!” Patty also loved Latch Hook Kits and Jigsaw Puzzles and over the years spent a “fortune” buying them! But she always said that was her weekend entertainment. Patty’s real joy in life was family BBQ’s, Provo trips, and just being with her family. Patty’s favorite color was purple and her favorite flowers where Peony and Carnations and Tweety was her favorite cartoon character.
Patty was a giver and would do just about anything for anybody. She was always asking if they needed anything. She was not above helping her children and grandchildren or friends if they needed it. Patty was a good-hearted person, but when there where times that she was “IRKED” everyone knew it because she let it be known! She was not afraid to speak her mind and sometimes not to nicely, but they always knew where she stood. She never pushed nor would she be pushed. If she was, then “Pity” the pusher!
Patty is survived by her son, Tracy Byrge (Deana), Afton, Wyoming; step-son, Travis Byrge (Lesa), Price, Utah; son-in-law, Mark Fisher, East Carbon, Utah; sister, Jan Marchello, Price, Utah; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; sister, Eilleen Mele Fullertons; and precious daughter, DeeAnna Lyne Byrge Fisher.
Patty’s wish was for everyone to do the best they can; get along with one another and hug often. Always tell the people you love that you love them and do it often as you can because you will never know when they will no longer be around for you to tell them.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Tuscan Event Center (23 East 100 North) in Price, Utah from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Patty online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
