The Lady Dinos volleyball team coasted through their opening round match-up with Juab with a three set win. In the next match things got a little bumpy as they faced Union, the No. 6 team in the tournament. Carbon came out winning the first set 25-20, and both teams would go back and forth until the fifth set when the Cougars took over and sent the Lady Dinos to the consolation bracket 3-2.

After winning the first set, the Dinos came out trying to continue the momentum, but Union came back taking the 25-17 win. The Lady Dinos turned things around in the next set taking a 25-13 win. Union took the victory in set four and then in set five, in a battle that went back-and-forth, Union came out on top 15-11.

The loss drops the Dinos into the consolation bracket where the best they can now do is finish in fifth place.

Thursday morning they will face No.10 Richfield at 9:30, as a member of region 12 both teams faced each other with the Lady Dinos earning a win in both contests.

If Carbon wins they will face the winner of the other consolation bracket match between Canyon View and Delta. A loss will end the Dinos season.
