Price Downtown District is hosting an event called Price Main Street Mash which is a fun, community event that will be held on Main Street this Saturday, Oct. 28 starting at 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. A few businesses owners stopped by Castle Country Radio to share all the details with listeners.
“Well, the Price Downtown District has been working really hard to promote downtown. We want to make it more family-friendly, we want to make it more vibrant, and just build up the whole community around the Price downtown. We’re going to have restaurants open downtown. We’re going to have a full Main Street, we’re hoping, and we want to invite more people to come down to that and bring a trunk. So yea, we’re just excited,” said Owner of Apple Country, Kari Richardson. All of the business owners are on board and excited for the community to come celebrate the Halloween season with them.
“So starting at 6:00 pm at the Peace Gardens we’re going to have a bunch of fun booths with games for the kids that are free. They can play the games for free and just run from thing to thing and enjoy them. We have a costume contest, so everybody, we do pets, we do young kids, we do adults, everybody come with your costumes, dressed up, ready to be judged and we have prizes for that. We have a pie eating contest, which will be really fun, so come ready to get messy and have some fun treats,” said Price City Youth Council Representative, Angela Jones. There will also be a Haunted Spook Alley that will use the proceeds to benefit a charitable organization in the community. The night will close out with a live band that will entertain the crowd from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
There will be a car show beginning at 3:00 pm so participants are urged to be registered and lined up by 2:00 pm. “We’re going to do the last car show of the season before it gets too cold. Don’t put away your cars or your cool trucks or anything that is mobile that you want to put and incorporate. Because what we’re going to do is we incorporating this at the Peace Gardens from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, we’ll have a live deejay that going to take care of all of the music for that. We will have awards and prizes to give away for the car show part,” said Owner of Party Express & Gifts, Autumn Blackner. The Trunk or Treat will run from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and if you want to enter a trunk there is still time. “Please show up at 2:00 pm. We’ll be starting over there by the Titans Real Estate on Main Street and 1st East of Price and we’ll get you guys all arranged and set up where you guys need to go, so that we can get everybody arranged and get that event going,” said Owner of Meaningful Minds, Janell Fleck.
