Jimmy Jay Jorgensen, age 82, passed away October 27, 2023.

He was born August 22, 1941 in Price, Utah to Chris G. Jorgensen and Ada E. Slaugh. He was the third in line of three siblings. He was a life line for his little brother and his three sisters. He was raised in Wellington, Utah on the Jorgensen Farm.

His working years covered, farming, ranching, farming with Glen Wells, a lineman for Utah Power and Light, and care giver for his Parents. Jimmy served in the National Guard and U.S. Air Force.

When you earned the right to be a friend to Jim, you had a friend for life. No matter their health, gender, or ability he had no limit of friendship and care as long as they could handle his sense of humor.

Survived by his sister, Renee Blackburn; brother, Lynn (Deanna Butler) Jorgensen; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Ada Jorgensen; and sisters, Ana Lou (Jorgensen) Birch and Aleen (Jorgensen) Dubray; brother-in-law, Ben Blackburn.

Per Jimmy’s request, cremation services will take place. Burial will be in the Price City Cemetery at a later date. Family and friends are invited to share memories of Jimmy Jay Jorgensen (JJ), Saturday, November 4, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at the Cowboy Kitchen, (31 East Main Street, Wellington, Utah). Bring paper, memories, and come share stories.
