The USU Eastern volleyball squad starts postseason play on Wednesday at Salt Lake Community College. The Lady Eagles earned the No.3 seed in the tournament and will play the No. 2 seeded, College of Southern Idaho.
Host Salt Lake earned the No. 1 spot followed by CSI. USU Eastern and Snow College land in the 3 & 4 spots.
USU Eastern closed out the regular season at 22-9 with a 6-4 conference mark and are ranked at No. 14 nationally. College of Southern Idaho, ended the regular season at 23-7 overall with an 8-2 conference record, ranking them at No. 10 nationally.
The two teams squared off twice this season with CSI coming out on top in both meetings, the most recent coming just over the weekend on Saturday when the Lady Eagles traveled to Twin Falls and were handed a straight set loss, 3-0.
Tournament play will get underway on Wednesday at 4:00 as Salt Lake Community College gets things started taking on No. 4 Snow College. USU Eastern and College of Southern Idaho will close out the evening at 7:00 p.m..
The Region 18 tournament will come to a close Thursday when the two winning teams will face each other at 1 p.m..
