The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for their monthly luncheon which will be held on Nov. 16 at noon at the new Southeastern Regional Development Agency (SERDA) building on 252 South Fairgrounds Road. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Executive Director, Barbie Haeck to get all the details.
The November luncheon will be the last one for the year as the chamber takes a break for the months of Dec. and Jan. “So that one is going to be November 16, Thursday, November 16 and its going to be at the new SERDA facility out next to the Senior Center. Our guest speaker is Julie Rosier, Equity and Community Services Director and she’s going to talk to us about poverty in the area. Our Business Spotlight is Goodlife Senior Living & Memory Care, and we have two Community Spotlights this month the Carbon County Food Bank and also Shelley Wright with the Children Justice Center,” said Haeck. If you wish to attend the luncheon you are instructed to RSVP by Friday, Nov. 10. Cost to attend is $18.00 for members and $25.00 for non-members.
The chamber has set the date for this year’s First Responders Banquet. The event will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 6:00 pm inside the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center on the campus of USU Eastern. All First Responders and a guest are invited to the banquet to be recognized for all their hard work they do for the community. If your business would like to be a sponsor for this great event you do have a few options to choose from as Haeck explains, “If you’re interested in sponsoring there’s two options. There’s a $250.00 where your business name will be listed in the program, and there’s a $500.00 option, where your business name and logo will be in the program, also on a sponsor banner that will be displayed at the event and then your business will be recognized at the event also.” If you wish to be an event sponsor you must notify the chamber no later than Monday, Nov. 20.
