USU Eastern is excited to host an Open House on Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm inside the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center. Come and learn about admissions, scholarships, financial aid, student life, eat Aggie Ice Cream and more. Director of Students, Kevin Hurst stopped by Castle Country Radio to share all the details with listeners.

“Theres will be four primary things that will be of interest to folks. So one is we will be awarding scholarships on the spot. We also have the experts that you talked about so we’ll have a lot of faculty and staff who are present and willing to talk about their program. Talk about financial aid, talk about services that are offered on campus. So yea, please come take advantage of having all these professionals in one room at one time to talk about USU Eastern,” stated Hurst. This evening is a chance for potential students to see what academic opportunities are available at the university.

The scholarship opportunities on this evening are not just for incoming freshmen but are for non-traditional students as well. “Scholarships are often geared towards or applied to the high school senior but we have scholarships available for anybody that wants to come and maybe get a credential or further their education,” said Hurst. The scholarship department will be on hand to answer any questions prospective students may have.

The end of Fall Semester will be coming to an end in December and registration for Spring Semester will begin soon. “So registration is getting ready to open, our schedule is available, you can get on our schedule website and see what classes might be available and get registered for Spring,” said Hurst. Information and details about Spring Semester courses will be made available at the Open House.
