Castle Country Pregnancy Resource Center has a new name, they are now called Genesis Pregnancy Center (GPC). Although they have gone through a name change, they still offer great services for men and women facing pregnancy decisions. Castle County Radio was able to sit down the GPC Representative, Monica Lambert to get all the details.
“Right now, you can still find us on the website https://castlecountryprc.org/ and on Facebook doing the same, we’re in the process of changing those names over. We chose Genesis Pregnancy Center because Genesis means origins, formation, and beginnings, and when our young people walk through our doors, this is a new beginning for them. You know the new origin and formation and so our name changed but our services and everything are still the same,” said Lambert. Their mission statement still remains the same too, enabling women and men facing pregnancy decisions to choose life, parent well, and heal from associated loss, while demonstrating Jesus’ love.
The services and location of the organization will remain the same, 836 East 100 North in Price. “What we do is we do pregnancy tests, option counseling. We do all your prenatal classes, first three trimesters, we take you through labor and delivery. We also do parenting classes and we have a great fatherhood program. We also have a pregnancy loss program that we do about three times a year,” explained Lambert. The GPC desires for every client to feel welcomed, respected and encouraged. They serve both Carbon and Emery counties.
The organization will still run their earn while you learn program with their in-house baby store. They rely heavily on donations from the community to fill the shelves in their in-house baby store. “Okay for the store, you earn Baby Bucks and our young ladies and young men that come through they get to choose from diapers and wipes, clothes – we got some of the cutest little clothes. Also big items like car seats, cribs, high chairs, things of this nature – play pens, in the Earn While You Learn,” said Lambert. Anyone in the community can donate their gently used baby items to the GPC. If you don’t have items to donate but would like to make a monetary donation you can do so by stopping by the GPC office.
