The Desert Wave Pool is excited to be offering more hours for public swimming during the school’s upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas break. Aquatics Director, Tamara Gray was eager to share all the event details with Castle Country Radio listeners.
Parents can count on the pool being open during the school’s holiday breaks, so parents are welcome to drop off their children to swim for the day or while they do some holiday shopping in town. “Definitely or even the day after Thanksgiving, those big sales, you can go get your Christmas shopping done, let the kiddos come to the pool and have some fun,” said Gray. Regular swim times will be from noon to 8:00 pm with regular admission rates apply, adults $4.00 and children $3.00. The entire holiday schedule can be found on the Desert Wave Pool Facebook page.
The Desert Wave Pool has some pretty unique Christmas gift ideas for family and friends. “You know you have that person that’s hard to buy for or struggle to decide what they want; we can customize a gift certificate to fit your needs. Water aerobics passes, even just day passes, if you need some little gifts for school friends, gift certificates, lap swim, water aerobics, I mean the list goes on and on. We can customize it to fit whatever need or want that you would like,” stated Gray. Just stop by the Desert Wave Pool at 240 East 500 North to purchase any gift certificates.
Another great idea is to gift a party to someone, pay that rental fee. “Yes, birthday party certificates, I mean we can do a money amount or just a gift certificate for a reserved birthday party that comes with our ice cream, small drinks, reserved table with balloons. Yes, we can do them for birthday parties as well,” said Gray. Reserved parties start at $40.00 and includes admission for 10 people, ice cream and drink included.
If there are families or businesses that would like to rent the pool for their holiday party they can do so at reasonable prices. “Exactly, you can rent it out exclusively for your group, two hours, four hours, just give us a call, and we can work around the time we open for public swim. But you can rent out the whole facility for your holiday party,” said Gray. The rates begin at $42.00 per hour up to 40 people, then it raises to $48.00 per hour up to 65 people.
