Our dearest mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Irene Ramirez, age 72, went peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Irene’s mother came and took her by the hand, to guide her across the golden gates on November 25, 2023.

She was the daughter of Aldolfo and Josephine Martinez Herrera.  She was born on March 29, 1951 in Monte Vista, Colorado and later moved to Price, Utah.

Everybody knew her for her fiesty, crazy sense of humor, comical jokes and contagious laughter.  Irene brought an endless amount of laughs and love to all with open arms. Even through her toughest battles, Irene always found the light in any given situation until the end.

We all know if heaven has bingo night, she will be right there with her mother playing all night long. Irene will be missed, but never forgotten. Our lives will never be the same without her in it.

She is survived by her children, Tina Barboza, Benny (Christine) Herrera, Gina (Rudy Sr.) Sanchez, Jose Aldaba, Richard Aldaba; her siblings, Ernie Herrera, Lucy Herrera (Carl) Sherman; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Aldolfo Herrera; biological father, Samuel Trujillo; brothers, Richard Herrera, Arthur “Tudo” Herrera, Sam Trujillo; niece, Misty Trujillo (Niece), as well as many other loved ones.

It’s not goodbye, It’s see you later.

Private family services will be Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Cliffview Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Irene online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
