The 3A Champion Emery Lady Spartans were well represented when the All-State Volleyball lists were released on Tuesday. Abby Morris was named 3A Player of the Year, as one of the players that led emery to the State Title.
The Deseret News publishes the All-State lists that are voted on by coaches throughout the classification from a list of nominated players.
The Lady Spartans ended the season with a 29-4 record overall which included an 11-3 Region 12 mark, and entered the playoffs with the No. 1 seed. Making their way through the playoffs, the Spartans lost just three sets in a total of four games, defeating the Morgan Trojans 3-2.
Morris, a senior, posted over 450 kills this past season for the Spartans, last season Morris earned first team honors. Senior Karleigh Stilson earned first team honors, while senior Ashlyn Tuttle received second team honors.
Junior Katelyn Nielson and senior Shannon Johnson were both named to the third team. Junior Kali Jensen rounded out the individual awards as she received an Honorable Mention.
