The Christmas Treasures Holiday Market will be taking place on Saturday, Dec. 2 at Carbon High School from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. This is an annual event that benefits the Carbon Christmas Program. Castle Country Radio was able to speak with Owner of Apple Country Home & Gift, Kari Richardson to get all the details.

Organizers are planning on hosting 70 to 80 vendor booths as Richardson explains, “This year is going to be our biggest year yet we are so excited. If you can’t find something here for everyone on your list, I don’t know what to tell you, because there is going to be a little bit of everything at this fair. We have some really creative people here in Carbon and Emery County, and we’ve even extended beyond to other parts of the state with vendors this year.”  This event is open to the public and the cost for admission is $.50 per person, which enters individuals into hourly giveaways. The giveaways have been donated by the vendors participating in the market. All the admission funds will go to help the Carbon Christmas Program that the school hosts every year.

There will be a special guest coming to make an appearance during the event. “Santa is one of the highlights, and he will be there from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. This year Carbon Christmas and the Student Government are going to be doing pictures for $3.00. You don’t have to get one, but if you do, it’s $3.00 and it all goes to benefit Carbon Christmas,” said Richardson. There will be live entertainment from singers, dancers, cheer groups and the Senior Silver Steppers will be performing throughout the market so guests will be able to watch some great performances.

There will be several unique items being sold at the market and returning this year to sell her delicious food items is the Cheese Ball Lady. “One of our favorites is the cheese ball lady from Emery County. So, if you haven’t had a cheese ball, you need to come down and get a cheese ball, and those are great gifts as well. But we have crochet items, we have candles, we have gift items, handbags. I know we have a ton of homemade vendors this year, that have awesome items, that I am excited to purchase,” said Richardson. Scheduled to be at the market as food vendors are Ruben’s BBQ, Dee’s Kitchen, and Carbon Student Government.
