Carbon boy’s basketball was back at home on Wednesday evening to face the South Sevier Rams. Coming off the two point win over Union last week, the Dinos were ready to get back to work against the Rams. Unfortunately, a quiet third quarter was the Dinos downfall, losing the contest 47-40.
The two teams pushed each other in the first half and Carbon actually took a 21-19 lead into the locker room at halftime.
In the third quarter, South Sevier made their move doubling up the Dinos 14-7, and taking a five point lead 33-28, moving into the fourth, the Dino offense woke up, however they were unable to take the lead back and the Rams would go on to win the contest 47-40.
Kahner Raby lead the Dinos scoring 12, pulling down 10 rebounds and collected a pair of blocks. Carter Warburton had nine for the Dinos along with seven rebounds and a pair of assists, and Dominic Cowan scored eight pulling in four rebounds.
Carbon will take the show on the road for their next three games. Trips on the schedule start Friday when they travel to Kamas to face South Summit, they will then have games in Moab against Grand and they wrap up in Salina to face North Sevier on Dec. 8.
Carbon will be back at home on Wednesday Dec. 13 to take on Providence Hall.
